Quality Inspector

 

Description

Assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); validating processes; providing documentation; supplied product verification; finished product testing; employee training.


A Quality Assurance Inspector is expected to work with ISCO management and staff to maintain a high level of quality performance, by implementing and validating company quality processes and procedures. Such quality related activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring product specifications and quality attributes are achieved;
  • Measuring production;
  • Documenting evidence;
  • Determining operational and performance qualification;
  • Writing and updating quality assurance procedures;
  • Inspecting product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new manufacturing and training methods to achieve a high level of customer service and process continued improvement.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Preventative Action Reports (CPAR) and customer loyalty Index (CLI).
  • Calibrate test equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of QA activities.
  • Recommend, champion and execute program enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (Hydrotesting, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.

 

Experience: Trade Qualification or the equivalent knowledge, education and experience. Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 quality principles. Proficient knowledge and business use of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment.

 

Certificates and Licenses: Fusion, Calibration, Inspection and Training
