We are currently seeking a qualified residential Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on single family homes. Successful candidates will be hard working, reliable, ability to work independently or as a team. We are seeking candidates who desire a long term career opportunity with a successful company in the residential services industry.
Position Summary/Objective
Service Technicians are responsible for the upkeep and repair of our properties. They must be able to work unsupervised while performing quality repairs to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. They must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Customer service is of the highest importance and must always be displayed. Other tasks include finish work and occasional property turnover. Documentation is done via smart devices such as smartphones and tablets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Completes resident service requests or turns in a timely manner, providing outstanding customer experiences to residentsAn average of 5 service requests should be completed per day. Management has discretion depending on the complexity of the job and work ordersAssists with upkeep of all assets to meet Company quality standardsHandles emergency service requests on a rotational basisEnsures all tasks are completed in a timely mannerUses company tools and equipment as directed and in accordance with all required safety standardsCoordinates with assigned personnel and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and service requests efficientlyFunctions as part of an interdepartmental teamResponds to emergency situations during after-hours to resolve immediate safety concerns
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, SKILLS, and Abilities)
Strong aptitude with computers, internet, network phone systemsWork is performed while standing, sitting and/or walkingRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearingRequires the ability to lift carry, push, pull medium weights up to 75 poundsRequires activity involving being exposed to moving machineryChanges in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gasesTransport a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the service siteExemplary Customer Service skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentTwo to five years’ previous experience in a maintenance roleHVAC Certification PreferredAt least two years of Carpentry, Plumbing, and Electrical experienceMust have own tools, we will provide larger equipment as neededPass a Motor Vehicle, Drug Screen, Credit, and Criminal Background CheckTime Management skillsValid driver’s license is a requirement
