Together, we get the job done and done well. As an A&P Technician II, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and major inspections on Gulfstream corporate aircraft. What you'll do: Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.Examine and inspect engines or other components for cracks, breaks or leaks.Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic and structural components and accessories using hand tools and power tools.Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks, such as flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging and hydraulic units.Read and interpret manufacturers and airline’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components Requirements: Airframe and Powerplant License Required, high school diploma or equivalent required.Basic knowledge of operating a personal computer or laptop.Knowledge of job-specific machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Capable of repairing machines or systems using the needed toolsAbility to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a jobAble to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.Capable of determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.Able to perform tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.Able to install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specificationsAbility to control operations of equipment or systemsAbility to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Able to monitor gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Shift: Weekends (3 12's Fri-Sun 6a-6:30p) Avionics Technician II Build an Aviation Career You’re Proud Of At StandardAero, we use our ingenuity and know-how to find solutions for the simple to the most complex challenges in Aviation. Together, we get the job done and done well. As an Avionics Technician II, you will be responsible for avionics systems modifications. You will also be responsible for the maintenance functions of assigned tasks to customer specifications, FAA standards, and Repair Station Manual. What you'll do: Adjust, repair or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools and or soldering irons.Assemble components such as switches electrical controls, and junction boxes using hand tools and soldering irons.Connect components to assemblies such as radio systems, instruments, inverters, using hand tools and soldering irons.Install electrical and electronic components, assembles and systems in aircraft.Interpret flight test data in order to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.Lay out installation of aircraft assembling and systems, following documentation; blueprints, manuals, wiring diagrams.Test and troubleshoot instruments, components and assembling using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters.Assemble prototypes or models of circuits, instruments and systems to be used for testing.Maintain records of maintenance and repair work.Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
