Participants must be able to rhythmic breathing (I.E. must be able to swim with their face in the water and come up for breath)Exercise #2 – Brick Timed Event (1 minute, 40 seconds)Swim 20 yards using front crawl, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water within 1 minute and 40 seconds.Participant must hold 10-pound object with both hands, placing the brick on his or her chest, and must keep his face above the water. Time is stopped when they return to starting point.Shallow Water Guard (Can guard up to 5 ft of water):Position only available at AquaticaExercise #1 – 100 Yard Swim and TreadSwim must be continuous. We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Speech Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by developing and conducting individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments. As a member of the health care team, the Speech Therapist performs comprehensive patient assessments and establishes appropriate treatment goals. The Speech Therapist serves as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.What you will do in this role:You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient’s speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assess patient’s communication assets and liabilities.You will structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.You will evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress.You will document progress in patient’s chart. You will complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.What qualifications you will need:Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited programLicense to practice speech language pathology within the stateCertificate of Clinical Competency or eligibilityforClinical Fellowship Year.Ability to work varying hours, including weekends and holidaysReliable transportation and proof of valid automobile liability insuranceMust have valid driver’s licenseHealthcare at Home is a service line from HCA healthcare.
