Aable John's Tree Service, Inc is seeking to hire a CDL Driver/Equipment Operator and worker as we continue to grow! We offer weekly pay, the rate of pay is based on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the loading of, transporting of materials and heavy equipment safely to and from job sites and pits. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and the ability to operate different types of trucks, heavy equipment trailers and heavy equipment. Also expected to support the crew by helping perform work from the ground including clearing brush and trees as directed, and performing clean-up on each job site. Active CDL Required, Class A or B. Basic drug screen and driver's license required. Position will require manual labor and exposure to the elements.
Job Duties: Operate various types of trucks and equipment including: dump trucks, heavy equipment trailers, skid loader, wheel loaders, excavators, dozer and compaction equipment. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of construction material while adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Navigate routes effectively while complying with all traffic regulations. Communicate with team members regarding deliveries and any potential delays. Handle manual transmission vehicles as required for specific truck types. Assist in the maintenance of the truck by performing basic repairs or reporting issues as necessary.
Experience: Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid “Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is necessary! A strong understanding of movement and installation materials while adhering to safety regulations is essential. Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
