Job SummaryWe are looking for a third-shift Production Manager to join our team in Louisville, KYAs the Production Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be accountable for managing plant production activities across multiple shifts and/or departments to produce products that meet established quality. You will be responsible for customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies. Implement standard work and maintain improvement through sustaining behaviors. You will controls and utilizes the production capacity, and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses;You will: Responsible for food safety and quality. Maintain a safe work environment for all employees.Production line supervision to ensure product is produced according to Company specifications and meet production, usage, and labor goals.Allocate labor to exceed Company standards.Assure compliance of OSHA regulations and corporate policies.Assure work force is trained in job requirements.Ensure flow of critical information to all levels and shifts of plant management.Monitor correct ingredient usage at plant standards while maintaining quality goals.Coordinate production requirements with maintenance and engineering to ensure plant goals are obtained.Promote continuous improvement in production process to improve safety, cost effectiveness, and product quality.Assure safety awareness and training is provided by supervisors. Support safety programs.Report ingredient usage and labor figures for proper costing and recall requirements.Share metrics with supervisors to promote continuous improvementYou Have: B. S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or related field from a four-year college or universityFour to six years related experience ; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the food industry;Demonstrated experience analyzing general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsDemonstrated experience with Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsDemonstrated experience with concepts of basic algebra and geometry..Can Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the tasks of this job, you are required to talk and hear. You are frequently required to stand and walk. You are occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell.
