Plans, schedules and coordinates meetings with customers, builders and contractors to establish new business and determine requirements for a project. Maintains product knowledge with gas products, brands, and distributors, etc. (ex. gas logs, fireplaces, appliances, generators) Manage and cultivate manufacturer and distributor relationships. Develop long term relationships with strategic customers and manage the territory of the customer. Promotes products to builders, architects, landscape contractors and designer community in conjunction with the sales team. Works with the operations team to negotiate pricing, quote jobs and appliance packages, contract terms and conditions, and project scope with existing and new customers. Coordinates jobs with the operations team Cross-sells gas product customers into propane customers Respond to and solve customer service issues by deploying necessary company resources. Always maintains a professional image and respectful relations with customers and the public. Addresses customer inquiries and provides superior customer service. Works with the AR department on Accounts Receivable. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, with at least two (2) years progressively responsible experience or related skills in sales, marketing, project management; or a combination of experience and education that results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is required. Understanding of the homebuilding/remodeling process, builder, designer and landscape community, appliances, retail operations, sales and marketing. Previous experience (at least 2-4 years preferred) in homebuilding, appliance, outside sales or retail related business. Familiar with gas product offerings, brands and distributors, etc. (gas logs, fireplaces, appliances, generators) Ability to identify and act on key networking opportunities in order to develop relationships. Assertive, self-motivated business developer capable of making independent decisions with an entrepreneurial spirit. Experience with CRM (Salesforce) Ambitious, hardworking and team oriented. Solid history of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to complete required job training as needed. Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities and stay organized and the ability to work independently. Must be proficient with using the current Microsoft Office suite, including Excel. Must be proficient in navigating and learning multiple software systems Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

American Gas Products is looking for an experienced Route Driver to join their team. You will be responsible for the delivery and pick up of American Gas Products, Inc. (“AGPI”) compressed gases. This position requires a CDL A with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements. Must be able to work over the road for up to 5 days, minimum of 2 weeks per month, including holidays.
Ensure timely delivery of compressed gas cylinders to AGPI customers in a safe and secure manner based on a set route and schedule; return empty cylinders to plant for refilling. Excellent customer service and communication skills, providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times. Maintain load manifests, barcodes, FDA lot numbers, and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries. Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle including driving trucks with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Qualifications: Must be 21 or older. Valid Class A Driver’s License with HAZMAT and tanker endorsement, no moving violations, DUI/DWI convictions (past 7 years), and valid medical certificate. Certificate from an accredited school and completion of Entry Level Driver Training program, if less than one (1) year proven experience driving trucks with GVW over 26,000 lbs. in city and rural areas. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and driving knowledge Ability to drive hazardous cargo up to eight (8) hours per day and to work more than eight (8) hours per day, when required. Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets Comfortable maneuvering and parking trucks with GVW over 26,000 lbs. Alert, focused, and detail oriented. Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful. High level of composure and good stress management. Eligibility to work in the U.S. with the appropriate work authorization documentation.
Safety Requirements: Report safety hazards to the safety department and/or member of management. Strict adherence to all safety policy, procedures, and rules of AGPI and its customers, including timely reporting of all accidents or injuries to Company safety personnel, HR and management. Wear appropriate PPE as instructed and whenever in proximity to the plant floor. Refuse and report any unsafe task or operation. Participate in safety meetings and training as required; and maintain constant awareness of personal safety and that of coworkers.
Physical Demands: Physical aptitude for the position includes being able to hold scanning devices, drive, stand and sit for long periods of time; stoop, crouch, reach, grasp, feel, climb, balance, kneel, and repetitive motion required. Ability to tighten ratchet binders frequently throughout the workday. Ability to smell. Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs., and occasionally between 76 to 100+ lbs., including loading and carrying heavy cylinders. Ability to perform laborious work including pushing and pulling liquid containers on wheels weighing up to 1,000 lbs. Ability to work in all types of weather. Ability to adapt to changes in scheduled route with minimal notice.
