This is a 40 hour/week (4 -10 hour days) 100% onsite inpatient social work position on an oncology floor covering all 50 beds with two other full time social workers. These social workers also work closely with the psychosocial teams at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and may provide one on one support to patient and/or caregiver/s, as well as group work. Primary location will be at our Waltham, with initial training at the Boston location. This position will include regular Saturday coverage after completion of orientation period.This Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist will be responsible for:Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.Performing pelvic floor muscle assessment and treatment for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. The Waltham based Per Diem Physical Therapist will be responsible for the following:Performing complex diagnostic evaluations upon referral and by departmental and professionalReviewing patient medical history/record and selects, administers, and interprets standardized and non-standardized tests and measurements to assess patients’ functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function.Integrating knowledge into clinical decisions and recommendationsDeveloping and implementing individualized patient treatment programs.Establishing treatment goals and administers appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalitiesDischarge plans and home treatment programs, and providing education to patients and familiesRecommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.Liaison with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs.Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, and initiating modifications as needed.Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according to established documentation standards.Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.To qualify, you must have:Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and at least one to two years of previous experience.Active state of MA PT licenseThis position is based in Waltham, with Saturday coverage needThis position is primarily outpatient with inpatient coverage of the small unit in Waltham -predominately seeing patients after surgery for crutch trainingThis candidate MUST be able and available to train and orient during weekdays#LI-Onsite
