ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Patient DTI Imaging Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure Explains and prepares patients for DTI imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriatelyPerforms routine and advanced DTI imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure Adjusts DTI scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers. As a Float MRI Technologist, you will operate an MRI scanner to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes at multiple centers within the market. Provides leadership and technical support to MRI services, assuring that services are provided within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Remains self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.This is a full-time position working in Burnsville, Lakeville, and Eagan; day and evening shifts; includes weekend rotation (no call).
