Primary Purpose of PositionPerforms advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions and analyses. Knowledgeable in electrical, mechanical and control systems with regard to power plant operations. Capable of managing third-party service providers including contractors, consultants. Works well across functional lines of Operations, Technicians and Management.Primary Duties and AccountabilitiesThe ideal candidate will be familiar with the maintenance and operations of large-scale facilities and centralized and distributed utility systems. Solid time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple projects and tasks with a high level of proficiency acute attention to detail is required. This position encompasses several responsibilities that will increase in breadth and scope which include:Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering activities, programs and projects.Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. (25%)Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles (15%)Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
