Job SummaryThe Nurse Educator-RNC provides clinical education to nursing staff, students and others in order to meet orientation and continuing education needs. Serves as a resource by mentoring staff and monitoring/evaluating clinical competencies to assure the highest quality clinical outcomes and safety. Contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues through innovative programs in both a classroom setting and on the nursing units. Works collaboratively with the Nursing Leadership to assess the educational needs of staff.Participates in individualized orientation and evaluates the employee’s progress towards achievement of competency. Ensures that new employees are scheduled for facility and/or unit-specific mandatory programs.
