DEPOSIT ACCOUNTING CLERK
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Deposit Accounting Clerk is primarily responsible for the administration of the Deposit Accounting/move out process. Processing move out statements for residents, security deposit refunds, billable charges, occupied acquisitions, move out adjustments, and resident calls. Also assisting AR Clerks as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes Deposit Accounting - move out statement/letter, security deposit refund in a timely mannerProcess resident chargeback/billablesProcess residents move out adjustmentsUpdate and track final water totalsResearch and resolve ledger discrepanciesCorrespond with residents regarding payment discrepanciesOnboard and validate Occupied AcquisitionsAssist with incoming/outbound callsAssist with office mail as neededProvide residents with online payment information and processProvide backup assistance with AR as neededPerform general office duties such as filing, answering phones and emails and routine correspondenceCross train on other tasks as needed to provide backup assistance with AR departmentOther job duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
Professional customer service skillsMust possess exceptional organizational skillsOperate 10-key calculator, computers, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documentsAbility to work independently and in a group settingAbility to communicate effectively, via telephone, email, or in personBasic Accounting backgroundValid Driver’s License is a requirement
