We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team, and help expand our pediatric pelvic floor program. Be a part of our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality, outpatient rehabilitation for our pediatric patients. In this position, you will work in the outpatient department treating clients of all genders with Pelvic Health issues including pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain and incontinence, as well as developmental, orthopedic and neurological conditions as needed. Primary location will be at our Waltham, with initial training at the Boston location. This position will include regular Saturday coverage after completion of orientation period.This Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist will be responsible for:Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.Performing pelvic floor muscle assessment and treatment for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to function in the inpatient Complex Care Service (CCS) at Boston Children’s Hospital. CCS is a long-standing and nationally-regarded inpatient service in Pediatric Hospital Medicine within the Division of General Pediatrics that serves hospitalized children with medical complexity, who have complex chronic conditions and functional limitations. Common reasons for admission to CCS include infections (aspiration pneumonia, pyelonephritis), chronic condition exacerbations (epilepsy, digestive dysmotility), and post-operative recovery following surgery (baclofen pump placement, gastrostomy, spinal fusion, etc). This role will provide patient evaluation, assessment and facilitate care for the patients on the CCS service and will implement interventions tailored to improve systems for patient care and enhance patient safety in regards to this patient population. The CCS NP/PA will work collaboratively with supervising physicians, pediatric trainees (residents and fellows), and the entire nursing team to promote optimal clinical care. Our multi-disciplinary team is comprised of Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Support Staff who help to support the needs of the greater New Britain community by offering services in English, Spanish and Polish. Our staff works in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams in a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space.Job SummaryDuties for a Behavioral Health Clinician include:Performs psychiatric evaluations of inpatient patients at The Hospital of Central Connecticut to determine Mental Health/Substance Abuse Care needs.Provides direct clinical psychosocial therapy to patients, utilizing individual, group and family therapies.Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and age specific treatment and care.
