Clear debris, trees, rocks, and other large obstacles from right-of-way and channel bottoms. Remove selective vegetation and perform de-snagging operations on channels. Flag traffic and act as a spotter for other equipment operators during the ingress and egress of work sites. Inspect County vehicles and equipment for safety. May perform other duties that can be added or changed as the course and scope of the job directs.

Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Three (3) years of experience operating small sized equipment. Two (2) years of experience operating medium sized equipment. One (1) year experience driving dump trucks and or rollbacks. Valid Class "B" Texas Driver’s License. Must have or obtain a Forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
Knowledge Skills, and Abilities: Good verbal & written communication skills. Can effectively communicate with coworkers and the public. Must be able to read and understand written instructions, maps, and be able to provide directions to District locations. Ability to work in an outdoor setting. Ability to work well with a team in a field environment. Can work independently with limited to no supervision. Knowledge of bayou and drainage area maintenance. Knowledge of construction standards, practices, and techniques. Knowledge of OSHA regulations. Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional).
