This position is responsible for the day-to-day management duties of the District's rights-of-way.
The Flood Control District has the mission to reduce the risk of flooding in Harris County, the third most populated county in the United States, with a population in excess of 4.7 million, including the City of Houston, the nation’s fourth largest city. The Flood Control District has jurisdiction over the primary stormwater facilities in the county, which consist of approximately 1,500 channels totaling nearly 2,500 miles in length, as well as more than 60 regional stormwater detention basins, totaling more than 10,000 acres and several wetlands mitigation banks including Greens bayou.
Essential Functions and Duties: Handle and investigate requests from the County residents, government entities, and internal requests pertaining to the District's infrastructure. Identify channel maintenance repair solutions, costs, priorities, and schedules. Research the District's archived information, property rights, construction plans, historical data and existing right-of-way information. Handle requests for use and obtain rights-of-entry from private landowners to facilitate proposed channel maintenance activities. Prepare correspondence and reports in response to various internal and external letter requests. Monitor, define and direct channel maintenance activities along various channel systems within assigned territory. Provide updates to management on ROW activities, status, issues and provide recommendations. Communicate with the public and various governmental representatives. Provide budgeting information in support of the District’s annual maintenance budget. Obtain County Attorney’s legal opinion on right-of-way issues, if needed. Develop and maintain programs and plans for the maintenance of the District’s drainage facilities. Monitor flooding events and assist in the documentation of such events. Perform other duties that may be added or changed as the course and scope of the job directs.

Job Duties: Manage the project work plan process to ensure accurate and timely completion of production goals Perform Engineering calculations involved with design, drafting or product; and all engineering changes Coordinate with customer specification, needs to ensure all sales and resulting work orders are in compliance with those requirements Strict compliance and enforcement of all ISO, QA, contractual, and client requirements Read and understand technical drawings, schematics Create drawings for customers, Sales Department, Engineering or any other as required. Create, update and correct drawings for submission to customers. Create Vendor Data books for submission to customers. Maintain drawing number log, of drawings made for sales, purchasing, manufacturing, clients Coordinate work with and directly communicate with multiple disciplines including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, welders, and other production staff Inside Sales and/or Engineering point of contact and interface with Sales Support, vendors, clients, customers, other company departments, production.

Job Duties: Coordinate international shipments and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials and components. Manage freight forwarding operations and transportation arrangements aligned with production schedules. Prepare and maintain accurate customs documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), Certificates of Origin (COOs), and commercial invoices. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, Incoterms, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes. Track shipments and proactively address delays or disruptions to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain up-to-date logistics and supply chain records in ERP systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics with production and project timelines. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in the supply chain.

Daily Instruments is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our rapidly growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembly of thermal-instrumentation products that are used in refinery and chemical plant facilities. Assembly Technicians are responsible for working in a cohesive team environment to produce sub-assemblies, and final products as well as coordinating onsite work with engineering, inspections, machine shop and other production personnel. The successful Assembly Technician will ensure that projects are completed safely, in strict compliance with ISO & QA requirements, and in a timely basis to meet shipping requirements.
This is an Entry-Level, Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt production shop position.
Climate-Controlled facility all year round.
Shifts Available: First Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm Second Shift: Monday - Friday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm
OT and weekend hours for both shifts assigned as needed to meet production needs.
Assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. Assemblers aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products Carry out assembly day-to-day work instructions to ensure accurate assembly of products Read and understand safety instructions and ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed Focus on quality control of assembled products Read and understand technical drawings, specifications Performs work by following assembly work instructions, technical specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Cutting, stripping, bending, fastening, and working with hand-held tools Documents actions by completing production/worktime tracking and quality forms.
