The caretaker will oftentimes provide first response to maintenance concerns and may provide oversight of contractors completing projects. The caretaker plays an essential role in providing a comfortable and safe living environment for Stratton's team members. This position qualifies for free employee housing if needed. This is a full-time year-round benefit eligible position. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr depending on experience.ESSENTIAL DUTIESDaily/weekly checks of common areas and roomsGeneral system checks (boiler, fire suppression, etc.)Ground maintenance (leaf, lawn and snow management)Snow removal, including plowing, sanding, saltingLight maintenance to include tasks including carpet cleaning, painting, light carpentry repairs, light fixture maintenanceTrash and recycling dutiesEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: High School diploma, or equivalent preferredExperience: Previous experience working as a caretaker, janitor, carpenter or maintenance personnelQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTSBasic working knowledge of carpentry, painting, building repairs, plumbing, and/or electrical maintenanceBasic computer skillsExcellent communication skillsValid drivers' licenseAbility to operate a pick-up truckAbility to multi-taskAbility to work unsupervisedTeam PlayerTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Local travel between the resort and assigned housing properties.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING This position will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
