Job Title: Controls Engineer Summary: Leverage mechanical, electrical, and programming expertise to enhance production operations through effective planning, installation, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities:Note: Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and Variable Frequency Drives. Conduct electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs. Provide mentorship to junior electricians and mechanics on the production floor. Engage in hands-on engineering activities within the production environment. Independently plan and execute projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery. Communicate project expectations and any deviations to team members and management. Document material requirements and usage effectively. Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce downtime and facilitate easier troubleshooting for electricians. Develop standard software and hardware architectures for automation projects, collaborating with multiple teams for seamless implementation. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology solutions for automation, presenting a strategic technology roadmap for short- and long-term development. Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Report any health and safety concerns or violations to management promptly. Utilize knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical processes to troubleshoot machinery safely and efficiently. Adhere to established policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety regulations. Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with safety training guidelines.
