We are looking for anAssociate Sales Engineerto turn EV charging opportunities into buildable projects. Sitting on the Sales Engineering team, this role helps define site strategy, scope early designs, set initial project budgets, and shape technical solutions in close partnership with Sales, Engineering,Design, and Real Estate.You'llbe a key driver in moving projects from concept to executiontranslating customer needs, site constraints, budget inputs, and technical requirements into clear, actionable plans.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Work closely with our Sales and Real Estate teams to evaluate potential charging sites against ourCustomer'skey requirements.
- Develop initial site plans to be used forinitialproject planning.
- Work with our in-house estimating team to developpreliminary project budgets and coordinate supporting cost information for approvaland project pricing
- Support early project development activitiestodetermineproject feasibility and de-risk development.
- Assist with internal cost estimates byensuring all project scope is captured
- Visit proposed EV charging sites to assess project feasibility and develop proposed installation layouts.
- Review design drawings to ensure customer requirements are incorporated into project scope.
- Support theinitialdesignRFP process by preparing technicalsolutions,and preliminary schedules.
- Work closely with our external Consulting Teams to complete site Due Diligence.
- Assist with technical information related to the procurement of equipment.
- Recommendchanges in design, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
- Support the real estate team duringsite selection,negotiation, and acquisition.Help tovet and narrow sites andrecommend sites for pursuit.
- Document project information and ensure smooth transition to theDesignteam.
- Perform additional responsibilitiestofacilitatetransactionswithcustomers asopportunities arise.
MUST-HAVE:
- Strong communicationskills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, ConstructionTechnologyor related experience, plus a minimum of2years of related experience or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
- Experience providing technical / engineering sales support for site design and equipmentselection, ideally within the EV charging industry.
- Strongtechnicalaptitude and familiarity with aspects of civil and electrical engineeringand construction practices.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience with customer communication and relationship management
- Project Management Professional (PMP)certification
- Experiencewithzoning/land use negotiations with local authorities
- Experience with utilities andheavy power projects
LOCATION:
- New York City or Washington D.C. areas (preferred), Los Angeles or San Francisco.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base compensation ($120,000 to $140,000 annually): Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Our total compensation package includes the base salary, bonus, incentive equity compensation, and competitive benefits (medical/vision/dental insurance, matching 401(k), Life Insurance, unlimited vacation/PTO, & EV incentive). Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Relocation benefits are not available.
