This Joining Engineer position supports an automotive assembly project requiring hands-on technical knowledge of welding, riveting, sealer / adhesive bonding, and clinching processes. The engineer will support joining equipment and processes associated with automotive manufacturing, with particular emphasis on programming and commissioning activities.

The project references Bosch, Henrob, and TOX equipment and technologies. Candidates should have practical experience working with industrial joining processes and be comfortable supporting manufacturing equipment in a launch or commissioning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support automotive joining processes including welding, riveting, sealer application / bonding, and clinching.
• Perform programming activities associated with joining equipment and production systems.
• Support commissioning of joining equipment and related manufacturing processes.
• Apply technical knowledge of joining technologies to support equipment and process readiness.
• Work with equipment and systems associated with Bosch, Henrob, and TOX technologies.
• Support project activities in an automotive assembly / manufacturing environment.
• Work independently at the level required by the project while coordinating with onsite project and production personnel.
• Support launch-related schedules that may require 50+ hours per week and work across Monday–Sunday depending on project demands.
• Adapt to a rotating-shift schedule as required by the project.
• Assist with identifying and resolving joining-process or equipment issues encountered during programming and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with automotive joining processes or comparable industrial manufacturing applications.
• Strong working knowledge of welding processes and joining applications.
• Experience with riveting equipment or processes.
• Knowledge of sealer, adhesive bonding, or related material-joining applications.
• Experience with clinching processes or equipment.
• Experience with industrial equipment programming.
• Experience supporting equipment commissioning in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with Bosch, Henrob, and/or TOX joining equipment is highly relevant to this assignment.
• Ability to work in an automotive manufacturing or assembly-plant environment.
• Ability to support a demanding project schedule of 50+ hours per week.
• Ability to work a rotating shift and support Monday–Sunday launch schedules when required.
