A wellestablished civil defense firm in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support attorneys handling a wide range of defense litigation matters. This role is ideal for a detailoriented professional with strong litigation support skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment. The position offers a hybrid schedule and summer hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily administrative and litigation support to defense litigation attorneys

• Draft, revise, and format correspondence, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents

• Prepare and organize discovery materials, including requests, responses, and document production

• Maintain case files, organize exhibits, and assist with deposition and hearing preparation

• Schedule depositions, hearings, meetings, and other caserelated events

• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and docketing information

• Assist with trial preparation, including assembling binders, witness lists, and exhibits

• Communicate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel

• Handle time entry, filing, scanning, and general administrative tasks

• Support multiple attorneys and manage competing deadlines in a busy defense practice

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a litigation legal secretary

• Background in civil defense litigation preferred

• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court rules

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems

• Excellent organization, communication, and proofreading skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

• High attention to detail and strong clientservice mindset
