Pay: $31 – $35 / hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Hybrid schedule

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide hands-on support across a variety of human resources functions. This project-based role will assist with employee lifecycle activities, benefits, employee relations, compliance, HR documentation, and ongoing process improvements.

The ideal candidate has well-rounded HR experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment. This individual will also help support HR initiatives related to recent organizational growth and system changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle, including new hire onboarding, employee updates, and separation processes.
  • Create and maintain employment documentation, offer materials, employee correspondence, and HR records.
  • Support administration of employee benefit programs and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding company policies, HR procedures, payroll questions, and workplace matters.
  • Maintain accurate employee data within the HRIS and ensure confidential information is handled appropriately.
  • Assist managers with employee relations matters, performance concerns, attendance issues, and policy guidance.
  • Review and update HR policies and internal procedures to promote consistency and compliance.
  • Support compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding requirements, including background screening, I-9 documentation, and benefit enrollment.
  • Work closely with payroll to communicate employee changes, compensation updates, deductions, and benefit elections.
  • Assist with open enrollment activities and employee benefits communications.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Prepare HR reports, track relevant data, and assist with audits or compliance requests.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and broader HR projects.
  • Stay informed of changes in employment regulations and HR best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of HR Generalist or similar broad-based human resources experience required.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and HR policies.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • HRIS experience required; familiarity with ADP is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information professionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in an evolving environment with multiple priorities and projects.
