A day in the role Your shift kicks off at 5:00 a.m. You set up your work area, prep cleaning solutions, and move straight into pipe preparation. Most of your day is spent at the grinders, shaping and smoothing surfaces so welds go on clean. You’ll rotate between solution-based pipe cleaning and precision grinding, keeping production flowing until wrap-up at 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
