Role Summary: Postal Affairs Associate (P1)The Postal Affairs Associate role supports the Postal Affairs Manager in the transportation, handling, and regulatory compliance of postal shipments within Alaska Airlines Air Cargo operations. As an individual contributor role focuses on adherence to USPS contractual obligations, TSA security protocols, and federal regulations while coordinating efficient mail processing, tracking, and customer service. The associate role will work closely with internal teams, postal authorities, and regulatory agencies to maintain operational excellence in mail transportation and ensure timely payment for services.Postal Affairs Specialist (P2)The Postal Affairs Specialist is responsible for developing solutions to support the Postal Affairs Manager in overseeing the transportation, handling, and regulatory compliance of postal shipments within Alaska Airlines Air Cargo operations. As an individual contributor role makes recommendations for and ensures adherence to USPS contractual obligations, TSA security protocols, and federal regulations while coordinating efficient mail processing, tracking, and customer service. The specialist will work closely with internal teams, postal authorities, and regulatory agencies to maintain operational excellence in mail transportation and ensure timely payment for services. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills: RequiredExperience with Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or an additional two years of relevant training or experience in a related field in lieu of this degree.High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum age of 18.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred2 years of experience in relevant air cargo operations, postal or logistics or relevant experience.Relevant certifications in logistics, cargo handling, or air transportation.Experience in communicating and presenting to senior leadership.Advanced knowledge of data analytics and usage of data exploration tools.Strong understanding of USPS regulations, TSA air cargo security, and aviation logistics.
