Job Summary and Qualifications
Shift:Weekend Nights
Essential Job Functions:
1. Oversees staff and is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the Operating Room needs. Evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. Ensures that all Radiology staff is trained in working in the OR environment.
2. Works with Radiology Supervisor(s) on any problems relating to staffing, morale or work methods and participates in any needed disciplinary actions.
3. Follows safety policies and procedures applicable to the job, identifies possible issues and institutes measures (such as adjusting priorities) to prevent further complications and makes a report to the Supervisor when necessary.
4. Reports to Supervisors daily as to what is needed at the beginning of the day and follows up with 2nd shift Supervisor for any and all needs for the rest of the day.
5. Embraces, employs and executes the principles of Methodist Excellence.

2. 3. Adheres to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstrates ethical behavior as expected by our patients, colleagues and the community. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself.
4. Responsible for maintaining work area as well as cleaning and maintaining equipment
5. Completes other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:
Education:
A. Certificate of Training in Radiologic Technology Program •
B. Associates of Science or above in Radiologic Technology
Experience:
1. 2 Years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital OR setting.
2. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
Preferred:
1. Current or previous experience in the hospital setting to include PACS system and digital radiology.
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:
1. Required: Must have and maintain Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Medical Board
2. Preferred: Must have and maintain American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
- Associate Degree, or Certificate
- Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, or State Registered Radiologic Technician
