Job Summary

• Verifies physicians orders, performs patient assessments and establishes treatment scheduleand goals.
• Administer treatment and diagnostic tests (ECG’s, EEG’s, Stress Tests and PFT’s) accordingto established department policies and procedures and assesses patient’s response to therapy.
• Makes recommendations to patient’s physician regarding their therapy.
• Assists with discharge planning and education of patients, families and other professionals.
• Documents appropriate data (patient assessments, therapy performed, patient responses,educational and discharge instructions.)
• Utilizes necessary documentation tool, i.e., log sheets, treatment cards, and computer logs toverify and record required information.
• Maintains effective communication with patients, families and other professionals to promoteteam effort.

Education and/or Experience

Registered Respiratory Therapist credential issues by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
