Job Summary and Qualifications
MRI/Radiology Technologist
The MRI/Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician and for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
What you will do in this role:
· You will complete MRI/General Radiology examinations, ensuring a high level of quality
· You will interview patients and review charts/orders to obtain a complete history and evaluate labs before contrast injection.
· You will evaluate the patient before contra indicators.
· You will be asked to assist the radiologist as necessary
· You will scan patient with appropriate equipment and correct order exam.
· You will be capable of taking plain film X-rays
· You will have potential for exposure to hazardous medications as defined by TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center Hazardous Drug Policy as either hazardous or antineoplastic.
· You will promote teamwork with the department and hospital.
What qualifications you will need:
· Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Technologist program.
· Two-year post-graduate related experience
· Current Registration with American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)Advancement certification in MRI
· If not MRI registered, will be required to obtain MRI certification within 12 months of hire or will be released from position.
· Current American Heart BLS upon hire.
