Overview:

The Plant Engineer is responsible for the plant manufacturing engineering function and manages the maintenance and planning of facility assets to achieve high performance levels and ensure compliance. He/She directs those assigned or carrying out these functions to maximize operational time while reducing unscheduled downtime in support of the TPMM system. The Asset Care Manager is responsible for facility structure and support equipment and safety and environmental compliance at Federal, State and local level.

Responsibilities:

Key Job Accountabilities:

Capital Management
Ensures responsible capital management for equipment and facility.
Equipment Care
Develops, evaluates, and improves equipment care methods and processes with a focus on maximizing Fabri-Kal equipment utilization and longevity with efficient use of resources.
Equipment Design and Facilities, Support Equipment, and Grounds Maintenance
Suggests equipment design changes aimed to improve operational efficiency. Maintains the upkeep of plant facilities and grounds required to support continuing operations and growth and delivers consistent, reliable utilities to the manufacturing shop floor, to include water, electricity, compressed air, and air conditioning systems.
Lean Management
Applies lean manufacturing techniques to reduce consumption and waste and works with plant manufacturing value streams to coordinate activities and achieve asset utilization objectives.
Scheduling
Works with other managers to ensure schedules are met, problems addressed, and improvements are implemented.
Workforce Utilization
Optimizes workforce utilization of hourly employees through salary direct reports. Ensures the team has effective work strategy, detailed planning and 'down day' execution and effective skills development systems required to support the system.

Education Requirements- Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience Requirements5 years of Technical Management Experience Required5 years of TPM Environment Preferred
