About this Position:
The Quality Engineer will support plant-wide problem analysis and prevention activities for mass production by analyzing and interpreting data and/or specifications to determine problem severity. You will effectively interact with Manufacturing, Support and R&D to obtain consensus when determining root cause and suggesting countermeasures to gain a clear resolution to problems.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead mass production design complex problem analysis & resolution.
- Support new model design countermeasure activities for quality problems.
- Support development of fixtures for manufacturing.
- Support Manufacturing problem analysis and prevention activities for mass production.
- Provide technical layout support to manufacturing departments.
- Communicate problem summary activities and analysis effectively.
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- One term as a co-op at Honda or in a similar manufacturing environment.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial)
Desired skills:
- Ability to summarize complex analysis results and C/M activity
- People management skills
- Ability to lead/manage a diverse workforce
- Self-starter characteristics and aggressive attitude for improving quality
- Group speaking/presenting
- Flexibility in work hours and daily job content
- Proficient in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Additional Position Factors:
- Varied work environment (office and workshop)
- 2-5 Overtime Hours / Week
- Occasional travel
