Job Purpose
Drive characteristic improvement within assigned category through regional benchmarking/sharing, providing LO viewpoint for RO/GO strategy and NM activity, and specification confirmation for RO lead projects.LO(Local), RO (Regional), GO (Global)
Key Accountabilities
- Characteristics Analysis – Data collection, benchmarking, best practice sharing
- Correlate LO/RO/GO strategy and NM development to include leadership of requested studies, project evaluations through E-plan, capacity/allocation studies and BP themes.
- Specification approval for RO lead projects
- Supporting other RO/GO study and/or data requests
- Supporting PE Genpo team activities: PEQ, OT, OLT, and Project
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Education:
Required Experience:
3-10 years of relevant engineering work experience (focused in ST, PO, WE, PA, or AF category as applicable to job title)
Desired Experience:
Knowledge and experience within the Honda business planning process
Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams.
Business acumen in a technical environment
Working Conditions
- Flexible Work Hours /Schedule
- Frequent early morning/late night meetings with GO (global office)
- Estimate 5-10 Business trips per year may be required to support regional initiatives and improve overall efforts to improve standardization across the region. This activity may require short-term assignments at other Honda sites for 1-to-2-week periods.
- Average 5-15 hours of OT per week
- Weekend and holiday work may be required.
- Ad hoc travel to other plants, as needed.
