Sodexois seeking aPart-Time Registered Dietitianto work16hours per weekforUnited Methodist Communities atPitman, a senior care community located inPitman, NJ. This position offers benefits and a flexible schedule, with potential for extra hours.

This campus is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, banks, a movie theater, post office, library, ball fields, and parks. Fully integrated into beautiful suburban Pitman, it allows residents to participate in community life. We’re conveniently located near major highways and public transportation yielding access to both Philadelphia as well as shore communities.Resident and staff surveys have consistently demonstrated exceptional satisfaction. Pitman also boasts a stable record of high marks from the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services.

The successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care to the long-term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients;
• conduct quality improvement initiatives such as test trays and meal rounds;
• meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
• be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences;
• represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff; and/or
• support the food service operation as needed.

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Functional Experience -1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
