New Story Schools is seeking a qualified Licensed Counselor to provide support for our In District Consultation program in the Fairfield School District. This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week, with a school-based schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
· Student and Teacher Support: Assist designated classroom students and teachers in implementing strategies for student progress.
· Counseling Services: Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions based on needs assessments.
· Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
· Case Management Collaboration: Work closely with district staff to ensure effective case management.
· Staff Consultation: Offer consultation to district staff through regular meetings.
Qualifications We're Looking For:
· Education Enthusiast: Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
· Certified Pro: Relevant certification or licensure in school counseling or a related area.
· Counseling Expertise: Strong understanding of individual, group, and family counseling techniques and best practices.
· IEP Knowledge: Familiarity with IEP development and implementation processes.
· Crisis Management Skills: Proven ability to provide effective crisis intervention services.
· Collaborative Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and district staff.
