RN CARDIOVASCULAR LAB-PRN

JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Nursing Dept. The RN has responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. The RN manages care for patients and their families through the application of the nursing process utilizing independent judgment, collaboration and communication with all team members including ancillary and support services. The RN develops a plan on nursing care and utilizes established clinical pathways which are implemented by the care delivery team with the supervision of the RN. The RN provides and delegates patient care activities based upon patient needs and team skills/abilities and supervises the delivery of care by team. The RN evaluates patient response to treatment and nursing interventions, as needed, revised the plan of care. The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge. The Supplemental Staff RN will maintain proficiency in three clinical areas.

REQUIREMENTS

• Required Associate's Degree

• Preferred Bachelor's Degree

• 2-4 years Two (2) years critical care required with Cath Lab experience preferred Required

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support

• CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider

• RN - Registered Nurse

• NIHSS - National Stroke Assoc NIH Stroke Scale

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to competently work in the Cardiovascular Labs as well as the Recovery and Special Procedures Area (SPA). Must be willing to cover at least, but not limited to, seven (7) shifts of Nursing on call.
