As our Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive operations and decision making. Your in-depth knowledge and experience in manipulating, statistically analyzing, and visualizing mission data will be essential to our team's ability to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and optimize processes. This role is ideal for those who have experience applying analytic tradecraft to mission problems and translating that into code via data analysis, automation and machine learning models. This role will regularly involve thinking critically and devising innovative solutions to expedite and enhance complex data challenges for mission end users. You will work with highly technical data science teams and functional stakeholders, and your ability to speak and work in a shared language with them will be invaluable.

Qualifications:
  • TS-SCI clearance.
  • Able to work 60% on-site at a client SCIF in Washington D.C.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Writing functional Python code to automate routine tasks and explore and analyze data
  • Visualizing data to understand trends, patterns, and elucidate insights
  • Ability to gather requirements for analytics that augment and/or enhance mission tradecraft
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and services, particularly AWS
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and process implementation skills
  • Exceptional customer service and team collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience working in Cloud environments, particularly AWS
  • Hands-on experience training, selecting, and evaluating machine learning models
  • Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.
  • Familiarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
  • Relevant certifications


Responsibilities:
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis using Python to support specific intelligence questions and projects.
  • Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and functional stakeholders, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Utilize statistical methods and software tools to analyze data and support decision-making processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant data protection regulations and requirements.

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
