Schedule:
Work shift will be 7:00am - 7:30pm
Week 1: M-W-F
Week 2: T-Th-Sat

As aComputed Tomography Technologist, you willperform C.T. examinationsin accordance withestablished protocols, as requested by referring physicians. Primary Duties:

  • Performs full range of CT imaging procedures promptly on all patient types as specified by protocol. The ability to performvenipuncture, the injection of contrast media, and non-narcotic medicationrequiredfor effective diagnostic imaging and scanning. Must adhere to the direction, policy and procedures as defined by physician modality director.

  • Adheres to the policies and procedures that apply to the performance of obtaining CT studies, including performing correct, exam, including laterality, on correct patient at the time requested and correct CT protocol. Must adhere to radiation safety practices for the scanning of patients.

  • Ensurestimelycompletion of all exams through tracking, scanning and other technicalworkflowas related to Radiology Information System (RIS, Enterprise Radiology Solutions (ERS) and Enterprise Electronic Record (EMR). Directs patient flow on assigned scanner.Seeksto maximize productivity while minimizing patient waiting times before, during and after the procedure.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with Technical Aides to ensure efficient room turnover. Maintains a neat work area, wipes down assigned equipment between cases, stocks andmaintainssupplies atidentifiedinventory levels in assigned lab. adheres to all related safety requirements and reports need for equipment repairs.

  • Coordinates, communicates, and collaborates with Patient Financial Associates that register radiology exams to minimize delays and potential safety issues for the outpatient population. Provides basic information to patients and/or families about procedures to be performed and can answer questions if asked.

Qualifications:

  • Completed training in an approved Radiologic Technology program.

  • A.R.R.T. registered.

  • ARRT advanced certification in CT within 1 year.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • Prior C.T. experience preferred.
