**REMOTE OPPORTUNITY**

Program Director

Division: STEM

$150K - $185K (Pay commensurate with experience)

The STEM Program Director will oversee the strategic management of a team responsible for the marketing, recruitment, and program management operations aimed at sourcing visionary Program Managers for ARPA-H. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of recruitment strategies and the ability to effectively manage operations that attract top talent to fulfill ARPA-H's transformative health projects. The ideal candidate will not only facilitate the recruitment process but also ensure that all operations align with the government's standards and objectives for these critical positions.

Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in biomedical, Health, Research Science, or closely related field is required; A Master’s, Ph.D. or Doctorate is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in program management, particularly in federal projects or similar high-stakes environments.
  • Background in Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA), with prior experience at agencies like DARPA, ARPA-E, IARPA, or similar entities, preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-disciplinary teams and driving health-related projects to commercialization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrated ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in program management and financial management; with federal projects is a plus.
  • Experience selecting, funding, and overseeing research awards or internal projects and carrying them through completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage SME in new health futures.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify candidates, explain the model, extract ideas and independently identify communities of interest.
  • Excellent communications skills; both oral and written
  • Must pass all pre-employment security requirements required by the Federal Government.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Strategic Leadership and Oversight: Lead and oversee the operations of a dedicated team responsible for marketing, recruitment, and program management functions aimed at sourcing visionary Program Managers for ARPA-H. Ensure seamless integration and alignment of team efforts with ARPA-H's strategic goals.
  • Collaborative Team Management: Work closely with the STEM Marketing Director and STEM Recruiting Director to develop and implement strategies that enhance the visibility of ARPA-H and attract top-tier talent. Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure cohesive efforts across all recruitment and marketing activities.
  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and refine comprehensive recruitment strategies, in collaboration with the STEM Recruiting Director, to attract qualified candidates capable of driving transformative health projects. Focus specifically on candidates who can articulate program concepts that answer the ARPA-H Heilmeier Questions, ensuring a high caliber of scientific inquiry and potential impact.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Coordinate with the STEM Marketing Director to oversee marketing initiatives that effectively communicate ARPA-H’s mission and the unique opportunities it offers, enhancing the organization’s visibility and attractiveness to potential candidates.
  • Program Management: Ensure that all recruitment and program management activities are conducted efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with government standards and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government officials and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of the recruitment process with the broader goals of ARPA-H and to foster partnerships that enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the recruitment and marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Maintain high standards of integrity and quality throughout the recruitment process, ensuring all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
