HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SENIOR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Lead and mentor a team of software developers
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including task assignment, managing backlog of efforts and prioritizing implementation, performance management, and professional development
- Manages the design and development of software development for new and existing computer systems
- Creates basic documentation in work changes, revisions, or problems
- Walk customers or training personnel through recommended problem-solving steps in use of the application
- Attends and presents at customer meetings
- Manage Task Order(s) ensuring all software development tasks are complete meet schedule, and performance requirements
- Lead software projects from planning through execution and deployment
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved within scope and budget
- Develop and maintain comprehensive software documentation, operational procedures, and policies
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (in computer science, engineering or mathematics)
- Required Experience:
- Ten (10) years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills:
- Experience in Agile and Cloud software development management
- Security Clearance Level:
- Must be clearable for a position of Public Trust and standard background investigation check
- US Residency Requirement
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Solid technical background in software development
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written; demonstrated ability to speak appropriately and to raise issues to teams and senior management
- Ability to thrive in situations of complexity and ambiguity while functioning at a high level of productivity in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Demonstrates ability to work independently
- Demonstrated strength in solving complex problems
- Preferred Experience, Skills, and/or Certifications:
- FAA National Airspace System (NAS) experience
- Traffic Flow Management (TFM) experience
- Agile certification (PMI-ACP or SAFe certification)

The likely salary range for this position is $143,650 - $194,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
