Overview:
The Spa Lilliana Hair Stylist/Nail Tech is specialized in hair, nails and makeup and is responsible for providing exceptional professional services in the application of makeup, delivering premier haircare and styles, as well as quality manicures/pedicures, designed to increase, improve, or maintain the health and overall appearance of the guests of the Spa.
Responsibilities:
- Providing hair shampoo/styles, updo’s, special occasion styling, specialty treatments.
- Providing manicure and pedicure services and well as ability to use gel polish applications.
- Providing makeup applications.
- Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule.
- Welcoming clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms or salon, and thanking them sincerely on departure.
- Advising clients on homecare for hair and nails and recommending suitable treatments and regimens.
- Must be proficient in all components of hair and nails.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities including ensuring the salon facility/amenities are in proper working order.
- Prepare salon stations, clean after each treatment, and maintain inventory levels of linens and supplies.
- Promote and sell Spa approved retail products.
- Check daily appointment schedule
- Ensure inventory control through proper usage of products.
- Ensure Pedicure logs are maintained according to Florida Health Dept.
- Maintain passing scores on treatment inspections.
- Assist with front desk or locker room functions, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
- Participate in monthly spa events within Sandestin area.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform.
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information about your guests.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanor.
- Hygiene is key in this environment due to the proximity of working with the clients. At no time is cigarette smoke allowed to be on the hands, clothes, or breath of a spa employee during a shift.
- We are a Monday – Sunday operation. Flexible and weekend hours are required.
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Florida State licensure to practice as a Hair Stylist and Nail Technician
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Proficient in performing all applicable treatments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding people skills and warm, friendly manner
