Job Summary and Qualifications
TheUltrasoundTech works in conjunction with the Chief Tech, Imaging Manager ,Directorand Medical Staff to improve the patient andwork flowvia providing support,educationand leadership to the technical staff.Perform sonography/vascular procedures as outlined by the State of Texas and departmental protocols, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
This Position May Be Eligible for a Sign-On-Bonus
What you will do in this role
You willbe responsible forthe customer needs of the Ultrasound area of the Imaging Department.
You will demonstrate knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
You will collaborate with other department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals andobjectives.
You willmaintainand achieve daily productivity and quality assurance standards set by management.
You will need the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
You will need to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
You willbe authorized toaccess secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary toperform ,the assigned duties.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- RDMS-AB, RVT-VT
- Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree
