Job Description:
The Ophthalmology Supervisor provides oversight of the daily ophthalmology operations to ensure streamlined, optimal patient care. The Supervisor assesses, directs, and implements department workflows and processes, while providing input to leadership regarding policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets.
Education Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides staff orientation, education, development conversations, and necessary evaluations
- Resolves issues that arise in the clinic and/or escalates to the appropriate individual
- Manages staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Collaborates with management to achieve unit goals and performance improvement activities
- Participates in daily huddles with operations manager
- Completes and enters all Joint Commission Tracers
- Participates in the hiring process
- Follows up on incident reports and documents outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience of a full-time Certified Ophthalmic Technician
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
- Current JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (C.O.T.)
- CPR Certified
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 3 months of hire

Hours Per Pay Period: 80
Compensation Range: $33.21 - $49.82 / hour
