Job Summary:
The Clinical Research Educator is responsible for providing individualized education to research staff and clinicians based on assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating in collaboration with managers in an area of specialty. The Clinical Research Educator serves as a resource to all research staff and a collaborator with all.

Job Description:
Identify Training Needs: Collaborate with the CRI leadership team to identify clinical research training needs within the CRI Department and within St. Elizabeth Healthcare. This will include initial training as well as continuing education needs for the research staff
Designing Educational Program: Based on identified needs, assist the Education and Outreach Supervisor in the design of a Clinical Research Training Program. This program will cover topics such as clinical protocols, ethical guidelines, and best practices. The training program will also include knowledge checks to verify understanding.
Educational Program Implementation: The Educator will be responsible for facilitating the Clinical Research Training Program to the research staff and collaborating departments. The Educator will evaluate the knowledge check completed by the trainee and provide additional education support as needed.
Education Documentation: The Educator will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining the electronic documentation of completed Clinical Research training.
Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program by assessing participant engagement, knowledge retention, and overall impact on clinical research practice.
Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals, research staff, and other stakeholders to optimize clinical trial conduct and enhance patient safety. The Educator will also collaborate with the Clinical Research Nurses and the SETEC department to facilitate clinical skills and training.
Mentorship: Serves as a resource to CRI staff and other departments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Certification in area of specialty.
Specialized Knowledge:
Knowledge and application of the adult educational process required.
Must be comfortable with learning new technology systems
Kind and Length of Experience:
4 years clinical research experience including teaching and onboarding/orientation of new staff.
