Job Description:
Is responsible for the performance of all aspects of sleep disorder testing performed on pediatrics through adults. Responsibilities include: patient screening and scheduling by phone, performing polysomnograms, CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, and iVAPS titrations, performing patient education during and after patient admission, participating in case review and treatment plans with physicians, and arranging the prescribed patient home therapy.
Education Qualifications:
Work Schedule:Nights, 7:00pm-7:30am.8 Flex: 3 nights one week, 2 nights following week
Qualifications:
Successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state license and/or nationally accredited education facility and documented proficiency in all required competencies of a polysomnographic technician.
OR
If no education then must have 1 year of experience as a sleep lab tech and must complete education requirements within 1 year of hire or transfer.
Work Experience:
6 months of direct patient care experience or one year of post-secondary education.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent within 1 year of hire or transfer;
Employees hired before January 1st, 2018 are exempt from this requirement
