SUMMARY

As a Dental Assistant, your ability to anticipate needs, maintain a sterile office environment and keep accurate records greatly contributes to the success of the dentist and the satisfaction of the patient.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Pluta Dental

DEPARTMENT: Dental

SCHEDULE: M-F, Days

ATTRIBUTES

  • At least one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred

  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills

  • Ability to anticipate needs and multitask with excellent customer service

  • Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Dental Assistance. Prepare dental supplies necessary for each patient; anticipate dentist needs for instrumentation and materials during the procedural treatment on the patient; assist with x-rays, fillings and positioning suction tubes

  • Sterilization & Maintenance. Clean and sterilize all dental instruments following proper procedures

  • Documentation & Coordination. Maintain all patient records and update as necessary

EDUCATION:

Trade Certificate/Program Completion (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - Dental Assistant National Board (DANB), Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - NYSED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
