Job Summary and Qualifications
Seasonal Program Requirements – Seasonal PRN Status with a Full-Time Schedule – Program Runs 8/25/24-4/5/25
- All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period
- Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need
- Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period
- During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee)
- Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital
- Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
- Seasonal Staff willnotbe eligible for extra shift bonuses
- Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
- Current FT/PT & PRN Level 3 employees are not eligibleto join the Seasonal program for 2024-2025 with the exception of RNs that participated in the Seasonal program in the previous year
- Current employees of HWS arenot eligiblefor the seasonal program
- Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department
The CST collaborates with the physician and Registered Nurses to serve in a support role within the Operating Room. The CST is responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Proficient in surgical environment as surgical assistant passing instruments and assisting the physician during surgical cases.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or a hospital or military training program
- Certified CST by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Assisting (NBSTSA) or the Liaison Council Certification of the Association of Surgical Technologist or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required within 90 days of hire
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
