We are currently seeking an Outsourced Solutions and Managed Services Director, Solutions Architect Lead.

We are seeking a Lead Solutions Architect who will lead a small team of experts in developing and integrating solutions for our clients. As a Lead Solutions Architect at RSM, you will play a pivotal role in driving the firm's technology strategy and delivering innovative solutions to our clients in the tax, audit, and consulting space. You will collaborate closely with our clients, internal teams, and technology partners to design, develop, and implement robust technology solutions that address complex business challenges.

The Lead Solutions Architect leads the process of developing product and service solutions that aligns client’s needs for cost, systems, data, and process optimization. The individual facilitates the construct, analysis and design of the solution based on specific priorities identified, given the client current situation.The Lead Solutions Architect manages her/his team and interacts with the teams that directly support bid governance, pricing, technology enablement and service operations.The team is involved with the sales cycle at the time of inception and involved in the development of solution components. They are expected to work with a broad range of technologies and own the product solutions blueprint from inception to operationalization.Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure technology solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients in the tax, audit, and consulting domains. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Lead Solutions Architect collaborates with several different teams, which will include all other functions of the Architecture team to determine which technologies to use, which processes need to be developed, the services to be delivered and the pricing thereof. They also work to ensure proper implementation based on the initial design and Enterprise and Security Architecture guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Prepare proposals and assists Sales with client presentations.
  • Participate in RFI/RFP responses that require new vendor products and help select the vendor product/solution that best aligns with project goals.
  • Works with the Commercial Pursuit team to provides inputs to the pricing model.
  • Collaborates with Bid governance, operational leadership, and industry partners to build solutions that delivers business value quickly and efficiently while also supporting client goals.
  • Documents and communicates risks to the solution including dependencies on external agencies.
  • Work with the Services Architect to ensure the solution design can be delivered.
  • Evaluate technologies for specific services and products and understand the value from a client standpoint. The individual will facilitate the research, evaluation, and selection of software technology for specific sub-process while following the Enterprise, Security and Data guidelines to make sure enterprise integration is considered.
  • Research build or buy options and make recommendations to leadership on which direction will provide the most value.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate solution architecture documents and design directives with business and IT leaders for buy in and sign-off.
  • Document and communicate immediate and long-term technical risks to the product direction including dependencies on external systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to the high-level solution blueprint throughout the life of the project/program and review any proposed deviations and risks with the stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with other Solutions Architects and maintains documentations for solution architecture patterns that can be leveraged across multiple products and platforms.
  • Participate with teams in activities ranging from strategic planning to operational reviews with a focus on the client needs. Provide input for managing lifecycles and roadmaps of the individual business programs.
  • Support innovation efforts and identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve capabilities.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience of build solutions in the respective domains
  • Microsoft Azure certifications preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in technology architecture and solution design.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Certifications in cloud computing (e.g. Azure Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR).

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Leadership and Project team members required.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $122,300 - $245,900

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
