Compensation Range:

Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $31.37 - $37.25 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Expectations:

The Pharmacy Technician Coordinator is an advanced practice position intended for motivated and experienced pharmacy technician who under the supervision of Pharmacy Leadership Team will work independently in a specialized role to coordinate pharmacy automation solutions, scheduling, operations, cleanroom regulatory compliance, cleanroom quality assurance and compliance (QA/QC), and assisting with competency and skill validation of staff. The Pharmacy Technician Coordinator is capable of working in multiple areas of the hospital and on different shift times in order to fill in during vacations or times of increased workload or working independently on special projects. The Pharmacy Technician Coordinator can effectively communicate with fellow pharmacy technician members, pharmacists, other healthcare professionals and patients.

EDUCATION:
Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency is required. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum 6 years hospital pharmacy experience required. 8 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Registered Pharmacy Technician License issued by California State Board of Pharmacy

Preferred:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

SKILLS:
Aseptic Technique, Hazardous Compounding Certification, Competency in specialized equipment (Automated Dispensing, Pharmacy Automation, and Unit Dosing Machines). Knowledge of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations.
