The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior International Trade Analyst to work in our Reston, VA office. This role provides day-to-day trade compliance support of the Sea Systems Business Area. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting all export and import compliance activities within the Sector portfolio of contracts. The selected candidate will report to the Corporate Trade and International Business Compliance Director.

This position requires day-to-day interface with Leidos management, engineering and proposal staff, as well as external customers and regulatory agencies. The ability to manage a high volume of complex work independently and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as focal point, providing direction, input, and guidance to programs and employees related to export and import compliance (including ITAR, EAR, OFAC and U.S. Customs regulations).
  • Draft State Department export licenses, technical assistance agreements, CJ requests, and process ITAR exemption requests.
  • Draft Department Commerce export license applications, commodity classification requests, and process EAR exception requests.
  • Manage export and import authorization records in the eTrace system.
  • Review International Business Review Board (IBRB) routings for export /import compliance.
  • Conduct export/import training for internal stakeholders.
  • Approve foreign travel / foreign visitors.
  • Conduct restricted party screenings.
  • Review/approve documentation for public release.
  • Review/approve international shipments.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Business Administration (or related field) and 4+ years of experience in export / import compliance. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Proficiency with Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations.
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced with Defense customers
  • Experienced with Maritime Defense Systems

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
