The Business Integrated Operating System (BIOS) Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing system level BIOS solutions that meet system specifications and customer requirements. The role involves identifying and mitigating potential program risks, ensuring that a robust and efficient BIOS program data management framework is implemented that complies with industry standards and best practices. The role involves collaborating with key program stakeholders to ensure successful data migration and solutions are created, and the accuracy and completeness of program data are maintained for program data quality and security. In addition, this role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and document system-level requirements and interface specifications.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document BIOS program system-level requirements and interface specifications.
  • Drive collaboration with key stakeholders to identify and address BIOS program issues and opportunities where data can provide insights.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate BIOS program operating systems functionality.
  • Collaborate with hardware design teams to ensure system compatibility and functionality
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and third-party providers for implementation of solutions.
  • Ensure compliance, operational, and security requirements are met in BIOS program solutions development and implementation.
  • Identify and analyze BIOS business requirements and design solutions that integrate existing systems and technologies.

  • Perform analysis of technology industry and market trends.
  • Coordinate across internal IT teams and customers to resolve functional and technical blockers impacting solution delivery.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.In lieu of related degree, at least 8 years of experience in IT solution architecture and development of large-scale complex systems.

Preferred:

  • Related certifications (e.g., TOGAF) or relevant technical certifications for cloud technologies preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in data solutions architecture and development of large-scale complex reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, frameworks, and enterprise-level application.
  • Strong understanding of data structure, data modeling and its impact on high performing, scalable analytics that align with data strategy.
  • Excellent technical hands-on development experience with modern analytical platforms including Tableau, MicroStrategy and Oracle Analytics.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Analytical Solutions Development
  • Data modeling and data architecture experience in Oracle Cloud and Snowflake
  • Cloud Technology Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Database Management Systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Network Systems and Security (e.g., web application firewalls, intrusion prevention systems)
  • Knowledge of star schemas and dimensional design concepts
