What We’re Looking For
An experienced Maternal Child Health Nurse Leader
2-4 years of experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager in Maternal Child health
Passion for leadership and driving positive patient care outcomes

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing (DON) at MedStar Health is a key leadership role responsible for managing one or more nursing units or departments. This position fosters a patient-first care environment and supports the mission and values of the Division of Nursing and MedStar Health. The DON oversees resource utilization, quality care standards, and the operational, personnel, and financial activities of assigned areas, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational goals. This role includes 24-hour administrative responsibility, coordinating efforts with nursing leadership, Medical Staff, and other departments.

Qualifications

  • BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
  • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
