Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Department Manager, the Retail Services Worker will assist in the assembly and delivery or meals and food products for hospital patients, staff, and visitors. This position will maintain the Caf and operate the Micros system following established cash handling procedures.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare food utilizing standardized recipes and safety guidelines in a timely manner
  • Ensure all food and/or supplies are ready for service at established times
  • Ensure that all food being held for service is within established temperature ranges recording and temps every two hours, items not in proper temp are corrected
  • Assure adequate supply of all food items for sale and also an adequate supply of stock, both food and non-food
  • Maintain an efficient pace in the caf, cashier duties, cleaning and restocking and preparing caf for the upcoming meal period
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Retail experience, cooking, prep-cook experience or other related fields
