Job Title: Building maintenance engineer
Location: Onsite in Knoxville, IA
Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM, Cycle Schedule (Example: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off)
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all boiler room operations and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor alarm systems and weather monitoring systems, taking necessary actions.
- Perform periodic readings, rounds, and maintenance on Power Plant equipment.
- Maintain boilers and utility systems (water testing, chemical control, etc.).
- Perform repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Review and complete work orders, ordering materials as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and seek additional assistance if necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Trade school training or relevant experience (minimum of 4 years).
- Certifications:
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Strongly Preferred: Boiler certifications
- Universal CFC certification is preferred.
- Certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration systems, plumbing, or engine repair are beneficial.
Key Skills:
- Must-Have: Boiler, Chiller, and Air Compressor experience.
- Nice-to-Have: Relevant chiller experience and knowledge of how chillers work.
